SciLog Pumps and Pumping Systems

Fluid Components supplies the SciLog product line of ‘Smart Pumps’ for laboratory, pilot and production scale biopharmaceutical applications. SciLog pumps are smart because they are designed for specific applications. Each pump has application specific software, user definable alarms and input - ouput capabilities, allowing the user to easily develop, automate and document the typical biopharmaceutical processes; filtration, ultrafiltration, chromatography, purification, dispensing and filling, metering, reactor feed, pH and nutrient control.

SciPro Smart Bioprocessing System; for Pilot and Production Scale Operations. SciPro is a patented ‘off the shelf’ customizable skid for all your GMP bioprocess needs. On board software allows includes modes for; Ultrafiltration, Chromatography, Purification, Filtration, Batch Dispensing & Dilution, Reactor Feed, Metering, pH and Nutrient Control.

Laboratory Smart Pumps; can deliver from 0.02 – 4000 ml/min, depending on the motor / pump head / tubing combination. Pump head options include peristaltic, piston or magnetic gear.

UltraTec: Automates microfiltration and ultrafiltration processes. The UltraTec pump monitors filter pressure as well as feed rate and automatically stops when unsafe conditions are detected or the process is complete. 5 programmable alarms allow for quick and simple automation of the process. Operates in 3 different modes; constant rate, constant pressure or manual. Optional balance hookup to allow for the monitoring of filtrate weight and filtrate yield. Also can be used for preparative chromatography. All process and alarm data can be printed out or sent to a PC for data collection.

ChemTec: Programmable metering or feed scheduling into bioreactors or fermentors, either by volume or by weight. Linear or exponential feed strategies can be readily implemented. Easy to use, the ChemTec can be scheduled for unattended operation during off hours. 3 programmable alarms can be used to monitor pump rate, nutrient weight/volume and pump program status. Programmable control of two 6-port valves makes it great for preparative chromatography. All process and alarm data can be printed out or sent to a PC for data collection.

LabTec: Automates repetitive liquid dispensing with or without inline filter sterilization. In the volumetric dispensing mode, the LabTec automates batch dispensing from milliliters to liters with a typical precision of 0.5%. In the weight ratio mode, the LabTec is connected to an electronic balance, samples are automatically weighed and diluted, typical precision is greater then 0.3%. Store ten different dispensing programs. All LabTec dispensing data can be printed out or sent to a PC for data collection.

Accu: Provides a low cost, high precision pumping capability with digital pump control and display. An excellent all purpose laboratory pump. Also it is ideally suited for simultaneous feed scheduling of multiple reactors as well as for multi solvent dispensing and batch formulations. Three remote control options are available, 4-20mA, 0-5VDC, and RS-232. Up to 32 Accu pumps can be daisy-chained together and controlled independently from a single PC.
